Standard Job Description You will be the Manufacturing Engineer Senior for the Camden team. Our team is responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing engineering solutions to support production operations.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Manufacturing Engineer Senior, you will be responsible for leading the development of tooling and equipment designs, providing engineering support to the production floor, and researching and developing mechanical products and systems. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Developing tooling and equipment designs from engineering hardware specifications Providing engineering support to the production floor for issues that may surface in normal day-to-day integration processes Researching, planning, designing, and developing mechanical products and systems Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of manufacturing engineering solutions Interpreting complex engineering drawings and applying knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) Why Join Us We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Manufacturing Engineer Senior to join our team. Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques. Basic Qualifications • Bachelors degree in Engineering or related discipline or equivalent years of experience. • Ability to work in an ordnance facility • Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings • Basic knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) • Knowledgeable of machine / tool mechanical design • Knowledgeable of general manufacturing / integration processes • MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Desired Skills Proficient with MS Office suite • Proficiency or experience with AutoCAD, CREO, or Solid Works • Knowledgeable of hydraulic and pneumatic systems/equipment used in a Manufacturing Environment • Knowledgeable of engineering materials • Promoting safety practices on the shop floor
