The Opportunity
As the Manager, Productivity & Performance (MSP), you will drive governance, performance oversight, and assurance across the Major Service Provider (MSP), ensuring projects, contracts, and suppliers deliver against agreed outcomes. You will provide critical performance insights, coordinate governance and compliance activities, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that support effective decision-making, accountability, and operational excellence. This is an opportunity to influence strategic outcomes while fostering consistent, compliant, and measurable service delivery. This is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based out of any major city across Australia. Remote working arrangements will be considered on a case-by-case basis. The successful candidate must hold a Baseline security clearance or higher.
Responsibilities
Lead governance, assurance, and performance reporting activities across the Major Service Provider (MSP). Monitor and evaluate project, contract, and supplier performance, ensuring delivery against agreed KPIs, SLAs, and business objectives. Provide clear, data-driven insights and reporting to support informed decision-making by MSP leadership. Drive compliance with contractual, regulatory, and organisational requirements through effective controls and governance frameworks. Identify performance risks, gaps, and opportunities, and implement strategies to improve delivery outcomes and accountability. Coordinate audits, reviews, and assurance activities, ensuring improvement actions are tracked and embedded. Support workforce planning through performance reporting, resource insights, and identification of emerging capability needs. Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and operational excellence. As the ideal candidate you will bring: Essential: Relevant tertiary qualification and ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Experience in governance, performance monitoring, reporting, or assurance roles within Defence, government, or complex environments. Strong analytical capability, with experience working with KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics. Experience operating within governance and compliance frameworks. Ability to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities from data and reporting. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present insights clearly to stakeholders. Desirable: Experience within Defence or Defence Industry environments. Experience supporting audits, assurance, or compliance activities.
