What you'll do
• Engineer resilient network security solutions that protect Point72’s global technology environment and support our firm’s investment teams
• Own the configuration, maintenance, and continuous improvement of Palo Alto firewall infrastructure across enterprise and perimeter environments
• Design firewall policies that balance strong security controls with reliable connectivity for business-critical applications and users
• Troubleshoot complex network security issues through root-cause analysis, coordinated remediation, and clear communication with affected stakeholders
• Partner with infrastructure, application, and security teams to integrate network security requirements into new platforms and service deployments
• Strengthen network segmentation practices to reduce risk, improve visibility, and support secure connectivity across internal and external environments
• Monitor firewall performance and security posture to identify tuning opportunities, capacity needs, and policy improvements
• Develop clear operational documentation that supports consistent implementation, faster incident response, and effective knowledge sharing across the team
• Contribute to security assessments, remediation planning, and control validation for network infrastructure and related services
What’s required
• Seven or more years of experience in network security engineering, network engineering, or infrastructure security within an enterprise technology environment
• Strong hands-on skills in Palo Alto firewall infrastructure, including configuration, troubleshooting, policy management, and operational support
• Experience designing and managing firewall rules, application-based controls, user-based controls, network address translation, and high-availability configurations
• Knowledge of enterprise networking concepts, including routing, switching, segmentation, secure remote access, and internet perimeter security
• Experience investigating network security events, diagnosing connectivity issues, and driving timely remediation in production environments
• Ability to create and maintain accurate technical documentation for firewall configurations, support procedures, and network security standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently on complex technical issues
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to engineering, security, and business stakeholders
