Learn more at li.me . Lime is seeking a Senior NPI Engineer based in Shenzhen, China. Reporting to the NPI & Quality Director, you will drive NPI for plastic components across China and SEA. You are responsible for the end-to-end industrialization process—from early design review and process planning to mass production ramp-up and production duplication. This is an onsite position that requires onsite presence at our Shenzhen office to maintain effective collaboration across teams. This position requires occasional travel to support business operations, which is considered an essential function of the role. Lime will provide reasonable accommodations as needed. What You’ll Do: Design Optimization & DFM/DFX: Lead early-stage design reviews and DFM optimization to ensure manufacturability, cost-efficiency, and quality for high-complexity plastic components. Process Engineering & Planning: Own critical process management (CPM) for plastics. Oversee end-to-end process planning, including the development, review, and approval of flow charts, PFMEA, and standard operating procedures (SOP). Production Industrialization: Manage production line setup, mold validation, equipment qualification and golden sample approval to ensure a seamless transition from prototype to mass production. Issue Resolution & Risk Management: Execute rigorous failure analysis and risk assessments to identify root causes, driving effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Validation & Quality Control: Lead PPAP/PSW sign-off and oversee EVT/DVT builds and MP ramp-up, ensuring documentations and performance metrics such as FAI, Cpk, UPH, and FPY are approved/met. Scaling & Packaging: Oversee mold and production duplication across multiple lines, sites and vendors. Direct package design to ensure product safety, integrity, and cost-efficiency during global transit.

Hands-on experience of NPI milestones (EVT/DVT/MP) and quality control tools (PPAP, FAI, Cpk, SPC, 8D). Demonstrated ability to lead complex failure/root cause analysis and implement comprehensive risk mitigation strategies. Skilled in managing multi-site production duplication and vendor scaling projects. Proficiency with rubber/tires, industrial paint, and powder coating is highly preferred.
