Overview The Senior Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) Manager Costa Rica is responsible for leading the EH&S function for the Costa Rica site, including management and development of the site EH&S team. This position is accountable for ensuring effective implementation and continuous improvement of EH&S programs and management systems to maintain regulatory compliance, manage EH&S risk, protect employees, and support business objectives. The Sr EH&S Manager Costa Rica serves as the primary EH&S leader and subject matter expert for the site and partners with site leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate EH&S requirements into operations and business decisions. The role operates with a high degree of independence while maintaining alignment with the Multi-Site EH&S Manager and broader organizational EH&S strategy and standards Essential Job Functions   Lead the Costa Rica EH&S function and establish site priorities, objectives, and initiatives aligned with regulatory requirements, business needs, and organizational EH&S strategy. Lead, coach, and develop the site EH&S team; establish responsibilities and performance expectations, manage workload and resources, and ensure effective execution of EH&S programs. Serve as the primary EH&S advisor to site leadership and partner with Operations, Engineering, Facilities, Quality, Human Resources, Supply Chain, IT, and other functions to integrate EH&S requirements into site operations, projects, and change management. Ensure compliance with applicable Costa Rican environmental, occupational health and safety regulations, company requirements, and other applicable EH&S standards. Lead and maintain the site's EH&S management systems, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, and support regulatory, internal, external, and certification audits. Establish and oversee processes to identify, assess, and control EH&S risks associated with operations, equipment, processes, chemicals, facilities, and organizational changes. Provide leadership and oversight for site EH&S programs, including occupational safety, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, environmental compliance, emergency preparedness, and other applicable operational risks. Ensure EH&S incidents, near misses, and significant hazards are appropriately investigated; drive root-cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and sharing of lessons learned. Establish, monitor, and communicate EH&S performance metrics and trends; drive continuous improvement and timely resolution of identified risks, audit findings, and compliance gaps. Promote a proactive EH&S culture through leadership engagement, employee participation, training, communication, and accountability.
