Position Summary The Assistant Starbucks Manager supports the Starbucks Manager in overseeing daily department operations, delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring compliance with Starbucks brand standards and company policies. This role assists with associate development, inventory management, product quality, and operational execution while maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for customers and associates. Key Responsibilities Department Operations
Assist in managing daily Starbucks operations. Ensure beverages and food items are prepared and served according to Starbucks standards. Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness. Support execution of promotions, seasonal programs, and new product launches. Monitor department performance to ensure efficient operations throughout the day. Customer Service
Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a customer-focused culture. Resolve customer concerns and service issues professionally and promptly. Build customer loyalty through positive interactions and quality service. Ensure associates consistently meet customer service expectations. Leadership & Associate Development
Provide leadership, coaching, and support to Starbucks associates. Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, and performance management. Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment. Support associate development and succession planning efforts. Inventory & Financial Performance
Assist with inventory management, ordering, and replenishment of supplies. Monitor waste, shrink, and inventory accuracy. Support labor management and department expense control initiatives. Help achieve department sales, profitability, and customer service goals. Food Safety & Compliance
Ensure compliance with Starbucks operating standards, food safety regulations, and company policies. Maintain proper food handling, storage, labeling, and sanitation procedures. Follow all safety programs and operational requirements. Assist with audits, inspections, and corrective action plans as needed. Merchandising & Product Quality
Maintain attractive displays and merchandising standards. Monitor product quality, freshness, and presentation. Ensure promotional and seasonal products are properly displayed and marketed. Support production planning to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.
