Logistics Manager Location: East Peoria, IL Travel: Up to 5% Relocation Assistance: Available Visa Sponsorship: Not Available Role Definition As a Logistics Manager at Caterpillar, you will lead internal logistics execution, kitting operation supporting SS assembly, and Inventory Records Accuracy (IRA). You will be accountable for aligning priorities, developing leaders, and delivering safety, quality, velocity, and cost objectives across the assigned operations.
Responsibilities
Leads and develops managers responsible for internal logistics execution and SS assembly kitting operations Provides direction, establishes priorities, and ensures consistent execution across assigned operations and shifts Maintains accountability for material storage, movement, replenishment, point-of-use delivery, and kit quality and availability Provides leadership and governance for Inventory Records Accuracy, including cycle counting, discrepancy resolution, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Establishes performance expectations and holds team accountable for safety, quality, velocity, cost, and people results. Develops leadership capability through coaching, succession planning, performance management, and employee development. Aligns staffing, resources, and operating plans with production requirements. Partners with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain Planning, and other stakeholders to resolve material availability and inventory issues. Leads continuous improvement in safety, productivity, inventory accuracy, material flow, space utilization, and cost. Supply Chain Management - MFG: Knowledge of functions, principles and techniques used in supply chain management; ability to develop and use, strategies, practices and tools for controlling the logistical processes.
Summary
Pay Range: $112,710.00 -
