Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. This pivotal role will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our organization's network infrastructure. The IT Network Engineer will provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the security, reliability, and scalability of our network operations. This position requires a deep understanding of networking principles, hands-on experience with complex network environments, and strong problem-solving capabilities. Strong communication and organizational skills are critical to success in this position, along with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate in a cross-functional environment, and utilize problem-solving skills to proactively identify and manage risks and opportunities. This position is onsite at our office in El Segundo, CA. This position’s internal job title is Network Design. Our team is currently hiring for level 3 and L4.
Position
Responsibilities: Design, plan, and implement robust, scalable, and secure network architectures, including LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud networking solutions Manage network security, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access control Lead the deployment of network hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers Ensure network resilience and implement disaster recovery and business continuity plans Develop and maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and policies Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education Experienced with multi-vendor switching and routing (e.g., Juniper, Cisco, Dell) Experience with Quality of Service (QOS), routing and switching protocols Experience with Palo Alto next generation firewall systems Experience deploying and maintaining VPN technologies (e.g., IPsec, SSL VPN, Azure ExpressRoute) Experience with Palo Alto Networks Panorama Active IAT Level 2 certifications per DoD Instruction 8570 (8140) Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or higher Experience with cloud networking environments (e.g., AWS, Azure) This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. A final U.S. clearance Post Start is required Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) Proficiency in network monitoring and analysis tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Wireshark) Knowledge of wireless networking standards and technologies Juniper Networks Certified Internet Associate (JNCIA) or higher Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA) or higher Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
