What You Will Do
Install, maintain and repair piping, fixtures, and equipment for domestic water, wastewater, sanitary and gas systems according to specifications or plumbing codes pertaining to the mechanical trade of plumbing. Perform preventive maintenance tasks for facility equipment related to the plumbing trade. Install, trouble shoot, rebuild, and repair various pump systems. Must have experience with centrifugal and air diaphragm pumps. Plan/execute facility renovation projects related to the plumbing trade. Assist other trades with complex facility repair, including material rigging and some sheet metal fabrication. Working in an industrial facility setting, can prioritize work and respond to facility and customer needs in a professional manner. May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within trade specialization.
Qualifications
You Must Have: HS Diploma or equivalent 2+ years of experience plumbing within industrial/Commercial/Manufacturing. P2 or P1 CT State plumbing license. Qualifications we prefer: In compliance with the collective bargaining agreement, priority consideration is given to candidates who are INTERNAL (and recall) to the Pratt & Whitney IAM Bargaining Unit members of District Lodge 26 and Affiliated Locals 700 and 1746 (Connecticut Operations).
