We work with private equity investors, corporates, management teams and other advisers on buy-side, sell-side, vendor assistance and exit readiness engagements. Our work sits at the intersection of M&A, financial due diligence, commercial insight and advanced analytics. We turn complex financial, operational and commercial datasets into clear, robust analysis that supports the equity story, helps answer bidder and investor questions, and gives clients greater confidence in transaction decisions. This is an opportunity to join our growing Birmingham Transaction Analytics team and help build a regional platform within one of the UK’s leading deal analytics practices. Our core work is delivered during the exciting and high-speed phases of an M&A process. We use data and analytics to assess a target company’s financial performance, business projections and key value drivers, identifying opportunities, risks, sensitivities and potential mitigations that can influence transaction outcomes. The Transaction Analytics team works closely with Financial Due Diligence, Corporate Finance, Strategy, Tax and sector specialists to provide deeper insights, challenge value drivers and bring innovative digital capabilities to live deal situations. Our work includes building reconciled data cubes, dynamic databooks and dashboards that support vendor due diligence, commercial due diligence, information memoranda, management presentations and bidder Q&A. Companies are collecting more data than ever before across finance, ERP, CRM, billing, operational and external sources. Our challenge is to use analytics at pace to identify and explain trends that may otherwise remain hidden — and to convert those insights into a clear transaction narrative. At Assistant Director level, this is also a leadership opportunity: you will play a central role in growing the Birmingham Transaction Analytics team, developing people, building client relationships and shaping our regional go-to-market proposition.   Your key responsibilities As an Assistant Director in Transaction Analytics, you will lead analytics workstreams across buy-side, sell-side, vendor assistance and exit readiness engagements. You will shape scope and approach with clients and EY senior teams, lead discussions with management and advisers, and ensure that analytics outputs clearly support the equity story, identify key risks and provide actionable insight.
