Job Description
Responsible for the stability, security, and efficiency of the enterprise endpoint computing environment in the China region. Focuses on automated script deployment, patch management, and compliance enforcement leveraging SCCM/MECM platforms. Acts as the Tier 3 technical escalation specialist for Service Desk and Onsite teams, and serves as the primary regional technology liaison collaborating with European/Global teams to align standards with unique Chinese regulatory and business requirements. ACCOUNTABILITY SCCM Platform Administration & Software Lifecycle Management : Administer the SCCM platform and manage structured device collections to centrally govern China-region endpoint assets. Orchestrate end-to-end software lifecycle operations, including packaging, deployment, automated upgrades, and silent removals of unauthorized software via Service Requests (SRs) and Change Requests (CRs). Design and publish comprehensive SSRS/SQL reports tracking hardware inventory, real-time software licensing and distribution statuses. Patch Management & Security Compliance: Collaborate with global Patch Management teams to schedule and execute enterprise security patch deployments via SCCM, ensuring alignment with global maintenance windows. Conduct vulnerability analysis and administer Roof China Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) and SCCM patching pipelines, ensuring proactive mitigation of vulnerabilities and alignment with global cybersecurity baselines. Monitor and analyze endpoint patch compliance reports across the regional infrastructure, conducting deep-dive Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and executing technical remediations for non-compliant, offline, or patch-failed devices. Develop and deploy automated remediation scripts and tools (e.g., PowerShell) to resolve recurring patch installation bottlenecks, significantly reducing manual troubleshooting overhead. Tier 3 Technical Support & Global OS Collaboration: Act as a top-tier (Tier 3) escalation point for critical incidents, leading problem resolution efforts in a high-pressure, mission-critical environment. Provision and distribute standardized Windows OS images and deployment media to Helpdesk team. China OS imaging and hardware compatibility support (technical diagnostics & structured feedback), coordinating with European teams for root-cause resolutions. Enforce Windows OS configuration baselines and custom functional policies (e.g., power management, security baselines). Documentation, Knowledge Transfer & Training: Create and maintain comprehensive, high-quality technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and troubleshooting guides. Provide expert-level knowledge transfer and training to internal IT teams and key business users. Project Management Define project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. Create and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring projects are delivered within financial guidelines.
QUALIFICATION
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
EXPERIENCE
8 - 10 years of progressive IT experience in an enterprise-level MNC environment, with at least 3-5 years in a senior engineering role focused specifically on Endpoint Management (SCCM/MECM), Windows OS Imaging, and Tier 3 Technical Escalation. Project Leadership: Proven track record of managing complex technical initiatives, including scoping, resource allocation, budget tracking, and cross-functional stakeholder communication. CERTIFICATION: Highly Desirable: Microsoft Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (Modern Desktop / MCSA / MCSE equivalent certifications). Advantageous: ITIL Foundation, PMP, or related IT service delivery certifications.
