Job Summary

An Electrical Maintenance Manager oversees the electrical maintenance department, ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of electrical systems and equipment. This role involves supervising staff, managing budgets, developing maintenance strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. They are responsible for both preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing improvements to enhance system performance and functionality of electrical system at facilities. Essential Functions • Manage and direct Maintenance Supervisors and Area Electricians as assigned. • Coordinate with Engineering and Operations groups on new electrical projects and modifications. Work with high and low tension, single, and multiple phase power lines and panels. • Assign duties for installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical equipment, such as motors, generators, switches, control panels, circuit breakers, electric safety devices, resistors, electro-magnets, motor drives, transformers, magnetic breaks, starters, etc. in shop facilities and at plant sites. • Prepare diagrams or sketches, often of a complicated nature, for work to be performed. Recommend design changes as needed. • Troubleshoot electrical power issues and prepare and coordinate plans, supplies, and crews to resolve issues. Maintain power supply lines as required. • Manage the electrical maintenance budget, forecasting requirements, controlling expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities. • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, generate reports, and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement. • Devise electrical circuits involving solenoids, switches, resistors, relays, and other "state of the art" equipment.
