Job Summary
The Supervisor, IT provides day-to-day leadership and direction to a technical team supporting enterprise systems, applications, or services. This role helps ensure operational stability, maintains service levels, and supports team development. The Supervisor, IT coordinates work assignments, monitors performance, and promotes collaboration to deliver reliable, customer-focused information technology support and solutions. Essential Functions Oversees daily team operations and helps ensure the timely resolution of incidents, requests, and project assignments. Monitors workload, prioritizes tasks, and allocates resources to meet performance expectations. Coaches and mentors team members to strengthen technical and professional capabilities. Ensures adherence to information technology policies, procedures, and service management standards. Collaborates with peers and stakeholders to support cross-functional initiatives and continuous improvement. Tracks and reports team metrics related to productivity, quality, and service delivery. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains regular and reliable attendance. Complies with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; or the equivalent required 3-5 years of experience in information technology operations, engineering, systems support, or a related field required Preferred Qualifications Deep expertise in Windows Server administration (2008-2025), including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and certificate services, preferred Knowledge of patching and vulnerability remediation for critical infrastructure, including domain controllers and privileged systems, preferred Familiarity with cloud-hybrid environments, such as GCP, Azure AD, Entra ID, preferred Understanding of network fundamentals as they relate to server services, preferred Experience supervising technical teams, including workload prioritization, coaching, and performance management, preferred Ability to enforce Tier 0 operational discipline, ensuring privileged systems follow strict change-control and security baselines, preferred Strong decision-making skills, especially in high-impact or incident-response situations, preferred Capability to translate complex technical issues into clear business impacts for leadership, preferred Experience developing SOPs, runbooks, and operational standards for server environments, preferred Skill in coordinating cross-functional teams, such as networking, security, application owners, and compliance, preferred Ability to manage vendor relationships for support escalations and engagement, preferred Knowledge of incident response processes, including root-cause analysis and post-mortem documentation, preferred Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with executives and technical staff, preferred High attention to detail, particularly when overseeing changes to Tier 0 systems, preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Strong leadership and people management skills with an emphasis on coaching and development. Solid technical knowledge of information technology operations, systems, or applications. Effective communication and collaboration skills across teams and organizational levels. Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Strong commitment to operational performance and customer satisfaction.
