The Airborne Sensors & Avionics Integration Department Raytheon is seeking a Systems Engineer I to join and help develop our Systems Engineering & Test Capabilities (SETC) team. In this role, you will play a key part in developing innovative, mission‑focused solutions by delivering customized engineering services and products that address unique customer requirements. You will collaborate across disciplines to translate complex needs into effective, high‑impact system designs and capabilities. This is a full‑time, on-site position located in Indianapolis, Indiana.
What You Will Do
Provide basic support for developing, documenting, and executing system verification Coordinate with a cross-discipline team to keep the onsite labs functioning Perform software load validations on various avionics equipment Update locally hosted government maintained/supplied software tools. Integrate new avionics equipment into an existing lab environment with minimal service disruptions Perform validation testing on in-house developed lab tools and assist in future development practices Contribute to the completion of project/program milestones to ensure compliance and customer needs are met Prepares and presents reports and briefings to internal and external stakeholders What You Will Learn: Systems Engineering Requirements, Integration, Validation and Verification skills Technical experience, mentorship opportunities, and exposure to very influential individuals within Mission Systems that will help advance your career You can take flight to becoming knowledgeable in security hardened products with exposure to the variety of business and products in an ever-evolving field. Qualifications
You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and experience with requirements management and/or developing systems engineering products The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance Qualifications We Prefer: Security and procedural requirements that come along with working in secure environments Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo Enterprise Architecture).
