We are modernizing the health care system through modern and innovative technologies, AI, comprehensive clinical, and extensive experience in improving operational and clinical performance Optum's Technology Development Internship Program: The Technology Development Program (TDP) internship at Optum includes a 10-week experience designed for current students who are interested in building a career in technology. As part of the program, interns gain hands-on experience, receive mentoring from technology professionals, participate in networking opportunities, and collaborate with other interns as part of a cohort-based experience. As an intern on our Optum Technology team, you will be provided opportunities to channel your curiosity into initiative, working alongside distinguished engineers and developers pursuing innovations that improve the health care experience for everyone. We encourage you to dive-in, explore and ask questions about creative ways to use technology to help make the health care system work like an actual system. The intent of our internship program is to create a pipeline for future opportunities, including return internships or full-time employment at Optum, depending on eligibility, performance, and business needs. Key Information Regarding the TDP Internship Program: This full-time intern position will start on Tuesday, June 1, 2027, and end on Aug 6, 2027. Alternate start and end dates are not available The TDP Intern will be required to work in-office five days a week The TDP Internship is only available at Eden Prairie, MN Housing assistance may be available for those who meet eligibility requirements Sponsorship is not available for this position Primary Responsibilities: The TDP internship program places interns on teams with fellow TDP interns to work on meaningful and impactful projects throughout the summer The TDP intern team will have the ability to present their work to mentors and leaders on multiple occasions, allowing for iteration and continued progress You'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
