As a Software Engineer III in the Corporate Technology team supporting CIO, Treasury & Corporate Risk Management, you will design and deliver trusted technology products that power our business. You’ll work with Databricks and cloud-based tools to build and optimize data pipelines, collaborating with Data Science and SRE/Platform teams. You will contribute to a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and secure engineering practices. Your work will help drive the success of our strategic data platform and support critical business decisions.

Execute software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting to solve complex problems. Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain algorithms that integrate with enterprise systems. Build and optimize data pipelines using Databricks ETL tools. Develop and productionize cloud-based ML pipelines, collaborating with Data Science and SRE/Platform teams for deployment and operationalization. Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications, ensuring alignment with design constraints. Gather, analyze, and visualize data from large, diverse data sets to drive continuous improvement. Proactively identify hidden problems and patterns in data to enhance coding hygiene and system architecture. Leverage enterprise-authorized AI coding assist tools within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and productivity (e.g., code generation/refactoring, unit test creation, documentation), while validating outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards. Apply knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Hands-on Databricks experience across Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Workflows, Repos/notebooks, and SQL Warehouses, including cluster configuration and optimization. Proficiency in Python and strong grounding in secure data practices. Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability. Experience developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages (including React for UI development). Hands-on experience using enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, test creation, troubleshooting, or documentation) with demonstrated ability to critically evaluate, validate, and refine AI-generated outputs for correctness, performance, and security. Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; ability to guide peers on safe and effective usage within team practices. Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills: Familiarity with modern front-end technologies. Familiarity with data modeling and query optimization. Exposure to cloud technologies.
