Operations Specialist, Index Committee - S&P Dow Jones Indices

Grade Level (for internal use): 09 The Team: S&P DJI Index Governance, which oversees over 50 index committees. Index Committees operate as oversight and decision-making bodies in a fast-paced environment that values independence, global perspectives, equality, and respect. Committee chairpersons serve as critical bridges between the Index Committees and SPDJI's Governance framework, ensuring the integrity and quality of our benchmarks through collaborative decision-making processes. Responsibilities and Impact: Support Index Committee chairperson with comprehensive meeting preparation, documentation, and record-keeping to ensure seamless committee operations. Facilitate critical Index Committee processes including quarterly rebalancings, annual methodology reviews, index launches, compiling consultation results and methodology change implementations.  Drive operational excellence by identifying and implementing process improvements through innovative use of technology and artificial intelligence tools.  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to facilitate effective communication and ensure timely delivery of committee-related deliverables. Adopt Index Governance policies and procedures as they relate to Index Committees, ensuring compliance and best practices. Maintain detailed audit trails and documentation to support regulatory, compliance and internal governance requirements. What We’re Looking For: Basic Required Qualifications: 2-3 years of professional experience related to financial markets Detail-oriented with strong organizational and meeting management skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment while consistently upholding compliance and governance standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills Proficiency in meeting management tools and collaboration platforms, including Microsoft Copilot or Facilitator Experience in workflow, process, or system improvement Proactive, with the ability to assume responsibility and strong collaboration skills across cross-functional teams Proven ability to apply sound judgment and maintain confidentiality on a day-to-day basis Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience in committee support, governance, or administrative coordination roles within financial services Proficient in artificial intelligence and automation tools Basic understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, or best practices related to financial benchmarks Multi-lingual About S&P Global Dow Jones Indic e s   At S&P Dow Jones Indices, we provide iconic and innovative index solutions backed by unparalleled expertise across the asset-class spectrum.
