You’ll make a difference by: Lead and coordinate the timely preparation of cost estimates and customer proposals for Building Automation Systems (BAS). Perform project take-offs by quantifying equipment and device counts from bid documents. Interpret sequences of operation, specifications, and code requirements to determine labor, materials, and control device needs. Develop system network riser diagrams, Bills of Material (BOM), and Scopes of Work (SOW). Identify value engineering opportunities and propose cost-effective alternatives. Coordinate with procurement teams, subcontractors, vendors, and sales executives to obtain quotations and develop technical bid packages. Prepare and deliver final customer proposals and support the sales team with technical and pricing inquiries. Maintain accurate project documentation and support turnover activities for awarded projects. Participate in cost review and technical handover meetings with operations teams. Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across different locations and time zones. Your success is grounded in: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 3 to 5 years of experience in Building Automation Systems (BAS), including controllers, sensors, output devices, communication protocols, and user interfaces. Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and engineering fundamentals. Ability to identify building systems requiring automation and interpret mechanical and BAS specifications. Knowledge of building construction processes, industry standards, and applicable codes and regulations. Experience with estimating, bidding, or quoting tools is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-focused skills. Excellent communication skills in English; French proficiency is an advantage for Quebec support roles.
