THE JOB: As a Bartender at MGM Grand , you will bring energy, personality, and exceptional service to every guest interaction. You will showcase your knowledge of menu offerings, spirits, beer, and non-alcoholic selections while maintaining a polished and inviting bar environment. By connecting with guests, anticipating their needs, and delivering memorable service, you will help create the exciting, world-class experiences MGM Grand is known for. THE STARTING RATE:  $18.04 THE DAY-TO-DAY:   Make and serve alcoholic and non‐alcoholic drinks, proportioning ingredients according to standardized recipes and provide food service as needed Clean equipment, tools, and supplies and ensure equipment is in good working order; including, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of the bar Knowledgeable of menu items, liquor brands, beers and non‐alcoholic selections available Ring poured or served beverages, collect payment, and follow all cash handling and variance procedures, including preparing daily reports and submitting appropriate paperwork Provide Apprentice Bartender and Bar Porter with training and mentoring on overall function of the bar, guest service and bartending Maintain bar inventory according to set pars and internal controls, and request product to maintain stock in bar Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority; otherwise refer the matter to management, notify supervisor and/or Security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft Perform other job‐related duties as requested THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: Is 21+ years of age Must have union POUR card Work   varied   shifts,  including   weekends   and   holidays required High   school   diploma   or   equivalent preferred Two   (2)   years   of   experience   in   a   bar   or   similar   environment preferred Experience   working   in   a   similar   resort   setting preferred THE PERKS & BENEFITS: Wellness incentive programs to help you stay healthy physically and mentally Access to company hotel, food and beverage, retail, and entertainment discounts as well as discounts with company partners on things like travel, electronics, online shopping, and more Free meals in our employee dining room Free parking on and off shift Health & Income Protection benefits (for eligible employees) Professional and personal development through programs and networking opportunities as well as volunteer opportunities in the community VIEW JOB DESCRIPTION: https://mgmresorts.marketpayjobs.com/ShowJob.aspx?EntityID=2&jobcode=14025 Are you ready to JOIN THE SHOW ?
