About this role
Con Edison, a multibillion-dollar energy utility, is leading the clean energy transition in New York City and Westchester County. We invest hundreds of millions of dollars annually to integrate distributed resources into our electric and gas systems, support electric vehicle charging infrastructure, and scale adoption of energy efficiency and clean heating technologies across our customers. The Clean Energy Project Lead in Distributed Energy Resource Integration & Management (DERIM) will play a key role in supporting the operational integration and adoption of our GridOS DERMS platform, as well as other operational technologies. This role serves as a critical link between the DERIM team, electric operations, control centers, engineering, clean energy program implementation teams, and our Grid Edge Lab to ensure that DERMS capabilities are aligned with operational needs and incorporated into day-to-day utility operations. The Project Lead will work across stakeholder groups to develop operating procedures, control strategies, monitoring requirements, business processes, and tools and technologies necessary to support the safe and reliable use of DERs. This individual will collaborate with operation and engineering groups to define future operating models, validate use cases through laboratory testing, and parter with our change management team to enable successful DERMS and other DER-related technology adoption. The ideal candidate will combine strong utility operational knowledge with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills and has demonstrated success leading complex initiatives requiring coordination across multiple organizations and a deep understanding of policies and procedures.
