From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive incidents and crises, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS, you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness. As a part of the GSRS Global Intelligence, your mission is to inform business decisions with trusted security risk analysis to protect Alphabet's people, property, and ideas. In this role, you will join the Leadership Support Services Intelligence Team, a varied and creative team of analysts who provide timely risk analysis that directly informs critical protective operations, keeping the company’s most at-risk employees safe. You will apply well-honed judgement, security acumen, and open-source research skills to conduct tactical threat monitoring, strategic risk assessments, intelligence briefings, and manage vendor performance. Your role requires established skills to build deep trust with stakeholders, informing your analysis and positioning as a key partner for security risk insight. You will grow in a dynamic risk environment with competing priorities, and will be committed to personal and professional growth. This role requires flexible hours—including weekends, holidays, alternate work hours, and change hours—as needed.
Assess risk to Google facilities, operations, and personnel across product areas, based on ongoing or future events, to inform security posture and resource allocation to security counterparts. Evaluate, author, and disseminate accurate and timely global intelligence to appropriate stakeholders, ensuring assessments effectively communicate risk based on impact, credibility, and likelihood. Develop a collaborative environment with key partners across Alphabet product areas, and build relationships with public sector counterparts and other relevant organizations. Use publicly available sources and advanced open-source research to identify and evaluate potential threats or concerns to Google’s people, property, and ideas. Develop, maintain, and continually improve intelligence processes and programs to meet changing business requirements and prevent strategic surprise for business leaders, acting as the focal point for regional protective services operators in support of executive risk analysis and monitoring activities.
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 4 years of experience managing security intelligence analysis and risk mitigation strategies, including experience with Open Source Intelligenc (OSINT). 2 years of experience supporting projects related to close protection (executive protection) operations through analytic support or prior operational experience. Experience with AI tools, including assessing the reliability, bias, and accuracy of data and intelligence outputs generated by automated tools. Preferred qualifications: 6 years of experience in security risk analysis in a corporate, military, government, nonprofit environment. 3 years of analytic experience in protective intelligence in a corporate, military, government, nonprofit environment. Experience standing up and overseeing an OSINT threat intelligence collection program, including in OSINT vendor oversight. Direct analytical experience supporting a close protection (executive protection) function in both a tactical and strategic sense. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, alternate work hours, and change shifts as needed.
