About the Department: We are looking for a Distribution Data Management Analyst to join the Distribution Intelligence team. This role independently owns recurring and project-based data-management processes that ensure Distribution data is trusted, governed, and ready for use across business operations, reporting, analytics, and AI/BI use cases. The analyst will translate business needs into data rules, validation logic, control evidence, source-to-target expectations, and durable process improvements while partnering across Distribution Intelligence, technology, and business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will combine strong data-management and SQL skills with independent ownership and cross-functional collaboration. This person will translate business needs into durable data rules and controls, lead issues through resolution, and help junior analysts apply consistent evidence and quality standards. How will you add value? Data Operations Ownership: Independently own BAU and mid-size data-management initiatives, including client data updates, CRM/MSD issue resolution, AUM/flow load validation, trade resolution or reallocation support, onboarding support, and project data readiness. Data Quality & Requirements: Define and execute data-quality rules, root-cause analysis, exception workflows, and validation evidence for assigned data domains. Translate ambiguous business requests into clear field definitions, transformation logic, test cases, acceptance criteria, and operational controls. Cross-Functional Remediation: Partner with technology, architecture, and analytics teams to resolve data issues and improve upstream and downstream data flow. Lead remediation cycles from issue intake through analysis, stakeholder alignment, correction, validation, and closure. Documentation & Team Development: Maintain and improve SOPs, data dictionaries, process maps, control checklists, and reusable troubleshooting guidance. Coach junior analysts on evidence standards, escalation judgment, data-quality checks, and stakeholder communication. What Will Help You Be Successful in This Role? Experience, Education & Certifications: 5-8 years of experience in data management, governance, operations, business intelligence, or financial services. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel. Experience profiling datasets and performing reconciliations. Experience designing and executing validation logic. Knowledge of data lifecycle and data lineage concepts. Experience with source-to-target mapping and quality controls. Ability to document business rules and data requirements. Experience with customer relationship management, distribution, or financial services data is preferred. Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
