To learn more about playing for Team Amcor, visit www.amcor.com | LinkedIn | YouTube SUMMARY:   The Production Supervisor will be responsible for leading and motivating the production team to exceed commitments and goals, monitoring the day-to-day production activities to ensure that production efficiency goals are being met (EFF & MEEF), safety protocols are being followed, and quality product is being produced timely and meeting customer expectations.  Directly supervises 20 - 30 hourly employees performing tasks in all areas and phases of the plant.  Plans and controls production performance as measured against operating targets developed according to machine capabilities, manpower capabilities and projected business.  Ensures compliance to established customer quality and production standards.  Actively leads and participates in plant safety, housekeeping, 5S and lean manufacturing programs and cost savings initiatives by ensuring goals are met within the plant.  Ensures completion of all required paperwork, schedules, work orders, etc.  PURPOSE OF JOB Planning, organizing, executing and leading all assigned areas within the plant Accountable to plan and execute to meet required safety, quality, delivery, production, cost and communication objectives Meet production schedules within budgeted allocation Ensure appropriate on-the-job training and development of crew members is satisfied ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Address mechanical, operational, and technical downtime issues within department.
