Location/Division Specific Information: Mt. Pleasant, WI How will you make an impact? The Data Center Inventory & Warranty Operations Specialist is responsible for onsite spare parts receiving, material put away, storage cage control, customer ticket support, technician material handoff, defective material processing, and outbound shipping coordination within a data center environment. This role maintains accurate inventory records in SAP and supporting systems, supports part availability and retrieval during working hours, and ensures defective parts are inspected, documented, packaged, shipped, and tracked through the required handoff process. What will you do? • Receive inbound shipments of material at the data center and verify condition, quantity, and shipment details. Unbox material and put away all parts in the designated storage cage or assigned cage location. Update SAP with inbound material receipts and applicable inventory transactions. Manage customer tickets during working hours, including part requests, status updates, and fulfillment coordination. Retrieve, stage, and hand off material to technicians as needed. Update and track all applicable transactions in SAP, ServiceNow, inventory control tools, RFID / barcode systems, or related tracking files. Inspect defective material returned by technicians and validate part condition, part number, and applicable serial number information. Update the system and RFI tag with defective part information, including serial number when applicable. Prepare defective or return material for shipping by boxing, taping, placing on pallet, and printing / applying shipping labels. Hand off prepared shipment to the courier or carrier. Pass tracking information to the Austin Inventory Specialist so SAP, RMA, RTV, and shipment tracking activities can be completed. How will you get here?
Education
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in supply chain, logistics, operations, information technology, or related field preferred.
Experience
Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, logistics, data center operations, hardware support, or service operations preferred. Working knowledge of receiving, put away, inventory tracking, shipping preparation, and courier handoff processes. Experience with SAP, ServiceNow, inventory tracking tools, barcode tools, RFID systems, or similar systems preferred. Ability to follow work instructions and maintain accurate transaction records. Ability to work onsite during assigned business hours and support customer ticket activity. Preferred Qualifications: • A good materials and manufacturing process knowledge. • Be computer literate. • Good knowledge of SAP. • A high attention to detail. • Or an equivalent combination of education, training or experience WORKING CONDITIONS • Regular business hours.
