About this role
Excited by the opportunity to build innovative digital retail banking products and services in a start-up environment, backed by one of the leading financial service providers worldwide? Join our digital consumer banking offer Chase at our new JPMorganChase office in the heart of Berlin. In this exciting chapter of continued growth and expansion, we’re looking for a passionate Executive Director to lead Governance and Regulatory Reporting within the International Consumer Business (Chase brand). As an Executive Director – Governance and Reporting Lead in International Consumer Banking, you will unify and lead two critical teams: a Governance team responsible for discoverable management routine reporting, inputs to formal governance reporting, and Senior Manager Regime support; and an India-based Operational Regulatory Reporting team producing ICB reporting across the UK, Germany, and JP Morgan Personal Investing (JPMPI). You’ll be trusted to set the operating rhythm, raise quality and consistency, and drive the explicit mandate to grow centralized—and where appropriate end-to-end—ownership of the reporting suite, reducing burden on partner teams while increasing accountability.
Job Responsibilities
Own the operating rhythm, quality, and discipline of discoverable management routine reporting for Operations; provide inputs for line of business, legal entity, and regional governance reporting; and deliver robust action tracking and closure discipline. Support Senior Manager Regime with complete and accurate documentation, audit-ready evidence, and approvals. Oversee the operating model for operational regulatory reporting, ensuring requirements are understood and executed consistently across obligations (including intersections across consumer, payments, and finance). Lead the India-based production team to deliver centralized reporting production with strong standards for timeliness, completeness, accuracy, and robust review/sign-off practices. Build durable control infrastructure and scalable delivery patterns as the business grows. Establish and maintain runbooks, controls, documentation standards, and operational resilience measures to support audit readiness and reduce key-person risk. Create a repeatable approach for new European market launches (templates, controls, RACI, onboarding routines) that scales without excessive customization. Define and execute a multi-quarter roadmap for standardisation and automation in partnership with Technology/Data and Operations; manage dependencies, escalate risks early, and drive disciplined delivery. Communicate complex regulatory, operational, and control topics with clarity—translating detail into decisions and action—while providing broader leadership coverage across the wider function to ensure continuity of decision-making and delivery. Required qualifications, capabilities and skills Senior experience in a major financial institution with strong exposure to operational regulatory reporting operating models, controls, evidence, and audit readiness. Strong understanding of the European financial regulatory landscape, including direct interaction with regulators. Proven ability to lead through managers across multi-location delivery models (performance management, coaching, succession/resilience). Strong governance facilitation and executive storytelling skills, including presenting to executive stakeholders and supporting decision-making. Demonstrated change delivery in regulated environments (risk-based prioritisation, dependency management, disciplined execution). Strong risk and controls mindset with high standards for documentation quality and sustainable process ownership. Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills Experience supporting multi-market European expansion and launch readiness, with scalable governance and reporting patterns. Experience operating across consumer, payments, and finance stakeholders in a complex matrix organisation. Comfort
