Collins Aerospace is looking for a Material Handler who will be responsible for physical inventory movement supporting assembly operations. You will be using state‑of‑the‑art vertical lift modules for kitting and storing inventory and delivering final kits to the production line. Your work will directly support the final assembly process, contributing to the delivery of high‑quality products that uphold Collins Aerospace’s reputation for advanced aerospace and industrial solutions. Work Shift: Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-3:00 PM onsite at Foley - AL What You Will Do Manage material flow by performing kitting, inventory retrieval, and timely delivery of components to production areas Receive, verify, and store parts in controlled stockroom locations using automated vertical lift systems and ERP tools. Perform SAP goods‑movement transactions and issue parts to work orders Monitor production schedules, rates, and material needs Conduct cycle counts and clipboard counts; perform ERP research to resolve inventory discrepancies Maintain 5S standards and a FOD‑free material environment; conduct DIVEs and report findings to leadership Apply lean manufacturing tools to improve material flow and processes Collaborate with Production Control, Quality, and Engineering to ensure materials meet schedule and configuration requirements. Coordinate with Team Leader, Quality, Engineering, or Production Control to resolve part discrepancies or documentation issues. Provide backup coverage for other material handling functions during absences or peak production periods. Participate in team meetings, Tag-ups and daily management/production walks as needed. Assist with inventory replenishment projects, including organizing overflow storage and rotating stock. Participate in and help influence Continuous Improvement events Support receiving activities by assisting with incoming material inspections and staging parts for put‑away. Maintain compliance with EHS guidelines by monitoring safe material movement and reporting hazards.
Qualifications
You Must Have HS Diploma or AA/AS degree(or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Inventory management experience. ERP systems experience.
Qualifications
We Prefer Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, CORE, and/or ACE Continuous Improvement methodologies. SAP experience. APICS CPIM training or certification. Cycle counting experience. Kitting experience. Experience operating Vertical Lift Modules.
