Work Schedule Third Shift (Nights) Environmental Conditions Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards Job Description   Position Summary   The Zeta Plus Stock Prep Operator is responsible for performing duties necessary to produce Zeta Plus media stock in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety requirements, and established quality standards. This role supports slurry preparation, stock production, quality testing, equipment operation, and preventive maintenance while ensuring accurate documentation and adherence to regulatory and company policies.

Key Responsibilities

Process Ownership & Line Operation   Operate production processes in accordance with GMP, Manufacturing Line Clearances (MLCs), and standard work instructions .   Ensure correct materials are available and used, and operate computer-controlled systems to support stock preparation.    Utilize fork trucks and material handling equipment to move materials as needed.    Monitor production conditions and seek assistance regarding batch formulations, machine functions, or process issues when necessary.   Quality Monitoring & Testing   Perform required quality testing including freeness, pH, slurry temperature, airflow, and tensile strength testing.    Interpret results to ensure compliance with specifications and complete all required documentation and sign-offs accurately.   Preventive Maintenance & Equipment Care   Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Complete preventive maintenance tasks, including regular tank cleanings.    Maintain required certifications such as Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and Confined Space En try.    Identify and report equipment malfunctions or abnormal conditions promptly.   Compliance & Documentation   Complete all production and quality documentation accurately and on time. Follow GMP requirements, plant rules, and safety regulations.    Maintain proper recordkeeping and documentation integrity.   Follow standard work instructions and approved workflow processes.   Handle materials, including hazardous waste when required , in accordance with company policy and regulatory guidelines; when running resin grades containing formaldehyde, must be medically cleared and fit-tested to wear an Air Purifying Respirator (APR).   Safety & Continuous Improvement   Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.    Adhere to all safety policies, including the use of required personal protective equipment such as respirators.     Identify and report hazards, and support continuous improvement initiatives.   Participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance.   May require handling hazardous waste.   Additional Responsibilities    Perform other related duties or assignments as required by supervision, including training and additional responsibilities aligned with the role.   B asic Qualifications   High school diploma or equivalent required.    Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing, operations, production, laboratory, or related field preferred.    Basic math and reading skills required .    Ability to use simple measuring devices.    Mechanical aptitude and basic knowledge of machinery preferred. Ability to operate a fork truck.   Physical Requirements / Work Environment   This role requires the ability to perform physical work including lifting up to 50 lbs , standing for extended periods, and working in a manufacturing environment. Must be able to wear a respirator and required personal protective equipment. May involve exposure to industrial conditions and handling of hazardous materials.
