The 2027 Summer Internship Program will run from May 17, 2027, through August 6, 2027. Candidates must be available to start on May 17 and participate through the duration of the program. We enjoy coming to work because our plant is our community, we see our teammates not only as co-workers but as neighbors and family members. All of our locations build the intricate network of machinery that contributes to The Toro Company.   What Will You Do?   Designing solutions or improvements to address current and ongoing issues with underground construction equipment and/or processes. Support safety projects and manufacturing processes as directed Maintain plant layout for machine moves and cost reduction efforts Evaluate manufacturing and material handling processes for new parts Support new part quoting activities & SAP routings Conduct time studies of part’s processes Assist quality engineering with print tolerances & process capability studies Assist in the research & development of capital projects & equipment Support Quality, Maintenance and Lean operations problem solving activities Frequently report verbally and in writing on project status Other duties as assigned What Do You Need?   To be considered for this role, an individual should meet the following minimal requirements:  Pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering or similar engineering discipline preferred from an ABET-accredited institution. Software: AutoCAD, Solidworks, Solidedge, Creo Parametric, Microsoft suite. Strong mechanical aptitude. Desire to learn new skills and maintain knowledge of new technologies. Must be independent, self-motivated. Must have interpersonal skills in working with a variety of cross-functional teams.
