Senior Accountant — Israel
We're hiring a Senior Accountant, based in Israel, to own accounting, financial reporting, and statutory and tax compliance. Reporting to the Accounting Director, this is a hands-on role combining execution and ownership: closing the books under US GAAP, preparing statutory accounts, managing indirect tax and supporting direct tax, owning the vendor and AP cycle, leading the local audit, and partnering with the global finance team on group reporting. We're looking for someone hungry — ambitious, curious, and here to build, not just maintain.
You'll be
• Own end-to-end accounting and financial reporting in accordance with US GAAP and Fireblocks group accounting policies, and lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close on group deadlines — general ledger integrity, balance sheet reconciliations, cut-off journals, accruals and prepayments, and flux analysis with clear explanations of the drivers.
• Own the end-to-end Accounts Payable cycle: vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approval workflow, payment runs, AP-to-GL reconciliation, and AP aging and accrual completeness at close.
• Oversee daily banking operations performed by the bookkeeping team — reviewing bank and credit card reconciliations and employee expense claims, monitoring the cash position, and supporting treasury on funding and payment execution.
• Own intercompany balances and recharges across group entities, including monthly reconciliation, settlement, and support for consolidation eliminations.
• Prepare Israeli statutory financial statements, including the bridge from US GAAP to the statutory basis, and manage the external audit end-to-end.
• Support Israeli direct tax compliance in partnership with the Group Tax Director and external advisors: annual corporate tax return, tax reconciliation, advance payments (mikdamot), and Israeli Tax Authority inquiries and audits.
• Own Israeli indirect tax and withholding compliance: VAT reporting and reconciliation, monthly and annual withholding reports, withholding certificates, and treaty-based withholding on cross-border payments.
• Review monthly payroll, including statutory contributions, pension and keren hishtalmut, severance provisions, payroll journals, and reconciliation to the GL.
• Own the finance systems landscape — NetSuite, Coupa, and banking platforms — safeguarding data integrity and driving configuration and process improvements as the business scales.
• Identify and implement opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes using AI tools, and help set the standard for how the team uses them.
• Review and guide the bookkeeping team's day-to-day work, setting priorities and holding the quality bar on accuracy and timeliness.
• Partner with the global finance team, cross-functional stakeholders, and external vendors and advisors to support business operations and finance initiatives.
• Lead ad hoc accounting projects as needed.
You'll bring
• Israeli CPA — required.
• Big 4 background — required, with hi-tech audit experience.
• 3–5 years post-internship experience, ideally in-house at global SaaS or tech companies.
• Deep understanding of US GAAP, with hands-on ownership of month-end close and group reporting.
• Deep
