About this role

The Yoga Studies Continuing Education Program is currently seeking outstanding and enthusiastic applicants for CE Educators and Subject Matter Specialists  to deliver continuing education courses across a range of yoga disciplines. Our fully accredited continuing education courses- spanning yoga practice, yoga philosophy, and related disciplines - prepare aspiring yoga teachers to enter the field and provide current educators with the skills they need to advance in their careers. Courses are offered in person, online, and in hybrid formats.

Position

Overview CE Educators will deliver course content throughout the term, document the learning experience, provide formative and summative digital evaluations, conduct team meetings, facilitate meaningful learning of course competencies, and support all facets of the learning environment consistent with the program's mission. In addition, CE Educators will encourage a culture of learning that values mutual responsibility and respect, lifelong learning, and ethics as well as personal and professional development rooted in the principles and traditions of yoga.

Primary Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the CE Educator is to deliver, guide, and mentor students in the manner determined by the Yoga Studies CE Program and aligned with LMU mission. Become familiar with and able to articulate the program's core educational framework in order to facilitate students' mastery of course competencies across all delivery formats. Engage with students on a continuous basis during the execution of course sessions, discussions, and learning activities -whether delivered in person, online, or in a hybrid format. The CE Educators will provide: Documentation of the learning experience using the Observation Record, with reflective feedback for each session. Comments and reflective feedback on course assignments and student-submitted materials. An electronic Formative Evaluation at the midpoint of the course and an electronic Summative Evaluation at its conclusion. Guidance through the student reflection process, including collection of student self-assessment comments on their own learning and development. Collaboration with the Program Director, Fieldwork Coordinator, and other program partners to ensure cohesive course delivery across all modalities. Additional Responsibilities Attend all informational and professional development meetings throughout each course term via Zoom or in person as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of professional experience teaching yoga, yoga philosophy, or a related discipline. Exemplary communication skills (both written and oral), evidenced by experience preparing comprehensive reports and evaluations. Highly developed organizational and leadership skills. Demonstrated computer competency, knowledge of relevant systems, and willingness to learn digital platforms used in course delivery and evaluation, including video conferencing and learning management systems. Required Education & Credentials A valid 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification registered with Yoga Alliance (RYT-200) is required; RYT-500 or advanced certification preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of yoga philosophy, history, or a related specialized area is strongly preferred depending on course assignment. Incumbents will be expected to continue upgrading knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to keep abreast of changes in yoga education standards, ethics, and program policy.
