We have a great opportunity to join our Pacific NW Regional Leadership Team. The Regional General Manager is responsible for the successful management and leadership for roughly 450 associates and $500M in sales. The Trane Commercial Pacific NW Region serves the commercial building and industrial markets by offering solutions in energy services, building automation controls and HVAC equipment systems. This independent, whole P&L business is comprised of sales, service, operations, and engineering functions across four areas including 10 offices. Senior leadership team members include four area general managers, as well as sales and operations leaders who are direct reporting, along with dotted line leaders including finance, HR, safety and operational excellence.
What You Will Do
Manages and oversees business activities for the multiple locations of the defined region. Ensures optimal profit and usage of the site’s resources, including the appropriate development of standard systems and processes throughout the business to drive productivity and improve the customer experience. Maintains constant awareness of markets, competitor activities and problems with assigned area and makes corrective action to local strategy to proactively align with market activities. Analyzes and prepares business forecasts and prepares necessary reports for Vice President and other corporate contacts. Participates in monthly operational review calls to review overall business status and corrective measures to ensure success. Selects, reviews and monitors performance of leadership team for the region. Partner with our Energy Services Leadership Team to align go-to-market strategy, resource allocation, and growth expectations. Performs work without appreciable direction. Works from broad objectives to develop local operating plan and is measured on results. Develops strategic short and long range plans that cover company operations, employee engagement, workforce planning, financial performance, safety, customer satisfaction, performance and growth. Conducts performance appraisals to identify developmental needs, validate performance versus goals and objectives, recommends promotions, training, and disciplinary actions. Provides internal communications flow to management and district team members. Models and reinforces the business’ vision, mission, business values, Code of Conduct and people values. Oversees the region’s safety performance and overall compliance in such areas as EAP, EEO/AA, FMLA, FLSA, GAAP, etc.
What You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree in business, or related degree is required; Master’s degree preferred. A minimum of ten (10) years progressive leadership
