Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Sr. Staff Systems Engineer in Roy, Utah to join the Weapon System Integration (WSI) team under Sentinel Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEIT), working on Network Systems Integration (NSI). This role may offer a competitive relocation package. What you’ll get to do: The selected candidate will lead the NSI team by developing program-wide networking governance and standards, developing and/or synthesizing network artifacts at the system level (including cross-segment network interfaces, program network architecture, and network documentation), performing program-wide gap assessments for network development, developing handling plans for any identified issues, and providing networking subject matter expertise to areas such as Major Program Event (MPE) reviews, modeling (architecture, simulation, analysis....), and requirements. NSI team purview includes the deliverable network architecture, incremental/test configs (lab networks), & ITF/MIF/VSFB test networks. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Drive and execute a comprehensive network strategy, aligned with the organization’s goals Mentor and support building a high-performing ~10 person network team Assess the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable network infrastructure, to include network design, architecture, specifications, cross-segment interfaces, and equipment selection per DoD requirements Perform gap analysis, risk management, iterative analytics, etc. Use Model-Based Systems Engineering practices to design, test, and verify network capabilities Provide specific and detailed information for hardware and software selection as well as implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements Create and ensure that appropriate network documentation exists Identify required contractual deliverables and non-contractual documentation and drive corresponding updates to closure Develop and document technical processes and procedures as needed Recommend and implement system/process enhancements that will improve the performance and reliability of the system Coordinates networking procurement and logistics Maintain knowledge of current and emerging Industry and DoD trends and technologies in network frameworks, management, and analytics while ensuring proper utilization where applicable Coordinate and
