Job Description

We are hiring an experienced MEP Fire Protection Assistant Superintendent to lead field execution for a major airport program in Chicago. This is an on-site role focused on safe, high-quality delivery in a live airport environment. Key Responsibilities •Assist in the day-to-day field supervision of fire protection and MEP contractors, ensuring safe, compliant, and high-quality installations. Coordinate phasing and work sequencing in active airport facilities, minimizing operational impacts while maintaining schedule discipline. Support compliance with applicable codes and contract requirements. Assists the project Superintendent and Project Manger by performing a variety of tasks in support of construction activities. Activities may include inspection of engineering installations for compliance with specifications and quality standards, maintaining project documentation, interfacing withother administrative field staff. Maintain field records, daily reports, and contribute to cost and change documentation. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: HSD/GED and 6 years of demonstrated construction experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education. Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Requirements

Experience as an Assistant Superintendent working on large projects. Exposure to delivering complex MEP projects. Exposure to fire protection systems. Airport or aviation construction experience a plus. Ability to interpret drawings/specifications, coordinate RFI responses, and validate submittals in the field. Proficiency with field reporting tools. High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or apprenticeship credentials a plus.
