Sr. Manager, Energy Purchasing

Job Location BECKETT RIDGE INNOVATION CTR Job Description The Sr. Manager of Energy Purchasing will work in our energy purchasing department. Our energy purchasing department plays a crucial role in managing the procurement of capital equipment and energy resources. The department also ensures that the company's operations are cost-effective, sustainable, and in line with the company's growth objectives. The Sr. Manager of Energy Purchasing will be in a team of 4 individuals, and will be located in West Chester, Ohio. The Sr. Manager of Energy Purchasing will primarily source natural gas for all North American sites, a major part of the energy supply for the company. This energy sourcing is especially impactful for our Family Care and Chemicals organizations, as well as other categories. This role also strong influences P&G's CO2 footprint, and other energy sources that might become suppliers for P&G.

Develop, contribute to and execute purchases strategies for energy supply to P&G North America. Staying up to date with market developments and identifying the latest procurement techniques and approaches in a fast-changing market. Ensure energy supply at best value – across all sites and energy grids. Be the expert in energy for North America, with focus on Natural Gas, but also expanding into electricity and other forms of energy. Partner with other energy buyers in North America and Globally to develop best in class sourcing strategies and tactics. Strong leadership of the own desk, with limited supervision, following defined precedents and policies. Develop knowledge and skills in self and others to deliver against current and future job requirements. Job Qualifications Required Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or finance A minimum of 5 to 10 years of progressive procurement experience Team work: this is a team player role, cooperating with external partners and multiple internal functions. Communication: working with partners internally and externally and work leading to contracts and legal commitments requires clear communication  and negotiation capabilities. Analytical thinking: creating a clear picture of business needs, market dynamics and driving business decisions requires analytical thinking as well as information gathering Discipline and a stewardship mindset  – this role covers significant spend and involves significant value and risk. Thus, operating with discipline and being stewardship compliant is essential. Results with a long term view: balance short term delivery of results and long term thinking and strategy development Ability to work under limited supervision and determine own priorities.
