Job Description The Biomedical Science Careers Program (BSCP) provides students of every race, ethnic background, gender and financial status with encouragement, support and guidance need for the successful pursuit of biomedical science and other science-related careers. BSCP programs are aimed at students, trainees and junior faculty. This position is an integral part of the BSCP management team and will report to Assistant Director of Operations and Programming. Based in the Office for Culture and Community Engagement (OCCE), the Biomedical Science Careers Program (BSCP) provides students of every race, ethnic background, gender and financial status with encouragement, support and guidance needed for the successful pursuit of biomedical science and other science-related careers. This position is an integral part of the BSCP team and will report to Assistant Director of Operations and Programming. The Program Coordinator will: Manage the end-to-end student support and travel fund programs, including eligibility verification, application design and launch, coordination of the review committee, recipient communications, award disbursement, and ongoing tracking and reporting. Oversee production of program collateral, program books, and guides. Oversee all materials and resources developed for the BSCP programs and the website and distribution to program attendees and virtual participants. Responsible for updating, implementing, and managing timelines for multiple conferences and programs, working directly with the AD to plan and manage an annual calendar of events, activities, and key program deadlines. Collaborate with the BSCP management team to implement strategies to increase attendance at conferences/programs. Support the Assistant Director on execution and implementation of conferences/workshops/symposia/virtual programming, meetings, and fundraising events and to identify, recruit and coordinate speakers, panelists, advisors, planning committee members, and mentors while managing some of the virtual programs end-to-end. Create, administer, and analyze program evaluations and surveys (Qualtrics) and coordinate all post-event activities, including attendee follow-up and reporting. Utilize and maintain the Salesforce database along with the Senior database coordinator. Update student records, resolve data errors/duplicate entries, and pull reports as needed. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: 4 or more years of experience. Higher education may count towards experience. Additional Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail in planning and program Implementation. A commitment the STEM field and the OCCE mission.
