Northrop Grumman Mission Systems has an opening for an  Test Engineering Manager 2  to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals located in San Diego, CA. The assignment includes responsibility for managing technical, schedule, cost, and resources across multiple programs and may include tooling development projects supporting manufacturing needs such as test readiness, producibility, and RF/digital testing for Radio Systems. Our work requires Secret Clearance. What You'll Get to Do: Provide technical leadership and oversight of engineering staff regarding manufacturing practices, test requirements, quality processes, and identify and resolve any manufacturability challenges that will impact producibility and quality. Ensures processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations and engineering specifications. undefined Drive the team to support the production floor in a liaison role. These activities include answering assist calls from technicians, performing root cause corrective action, and be responsive to keep production moving Track department schedules, working to identify key parameters and metrics to increase efficiency and reduce program costs Investigate and initiate corrective action to ensure product quality; resolve quality issues that arise during the build process to ensure all parts conform to the design configuration. Plan manpower requirements, performing quarterly and annual performance reviews of staff They are problem solvers who have the ability to provide results that are innovative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives .  The ideal candidate will be able to work individually as well as collaborate with a diverse group of individuals, work tactically, but with an eye towards future strategy, and exhibit solid communication skills while acting as the technical representative voice for Operations This position is for a day shift 9/80 schedule and may require off-hour support.
