Team Lead - Rearing Farm

Main responsibilities The role of the team leader is to support the Facility manager through effective supervision of people, equipment and processes on a Facility whilst carrying out first class Poultry Stockmanship.

Leader position drives positive behaviours and procedures through the Team Members. A team Leader needs to demonstrate a high standard of animal husbandry including knowledge of animal welfare and biosecurity.

Lead drives performance and standards within their team. This will include: hitting farm KPIs, maintaining Biosecurity and welfare standards, ensuring safety standards remain high whilst ensuring PPE is available and used, ensuring all aspects of flock management run smoothly and feed changes etc happen on time. Support and assist in the implementation and management of SIB testing at Larkfield farm.  Full training in the additional responsibilities relating to SIB testing be given – this includes the selection process of trial birds.
