About this role
This position will be for a full stack engineer in Genuine Engineering Team with more focus on microservices and backend technologies using JAVA. The engineer should also be familiar with automation testing for web applications. Engineer with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in building and maintaining web applications. The ideal candidate will work across back-end systems, contribute to feature development, and automation testing of web applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable microservices using Java and Spring Boot . Build and maintain RESTful APIs adhering to REST principles, proper HTTP semantics, and API versioning best practices. Implement business logic, service-layer components, and data access layers following clean architecture principles. Work with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB), ensuring data modeling, indexing, performance tuning, and transactional integrity. Write unit and integration tests using modern testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito). Participate in peer code reviews to maintain code quality, readability, and maintainability. Troubleshoot production issues, optimize application performance, and ensure high availability and scalability. Collaborate with frontend developers, QA engineers, product managers, and DevOps teams in an Agile/Scrum environment. Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation practices. Required Skills & Qualifications 6-8 years of hands-on experience in full-stack or backend-focused development. Strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot framework. Solid understanding of RESTful service design, microservices architecture, and API security (OAuth2/JWT basics preferred). Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB or equivalent). Understanding of ORM frameworks (e.g., Hibernate/JPA). Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD concepts. Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, or similar services), is an advantage. Basic understanding of containerization (Docker) and microservices deployment is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering.
