About this role
Lead the strategy and governance of critical data assets across Liquidity & Account Solutions, driving trusted, high-quality data that powers business growth, analytics, and AI innovation at scale. As an Executive Director, Data Owner within Liquidity & Account Solutions, you will be responsible for the strategic ownership, governance, quality, and oversight of data across multiple business domains. You will establish and drive the data governance framework, operating model, and standards that ensure data is accurate, secure, discoverable, and fit for business, regulatory, AI, and analytics use cases. This role requires a strong combination of strategic leadership and hands-on execution, partnering across business, technology, architecture, and data teams to maximize data value while maintaining appropriate controls and governance standards.
Job responsibilities
Own data governance, quality, integrity, and appropriate use across multiple data domains. Establish governance frameworks, standards, and operating models to support enterprise data management objectives. Ensure data is sourced from authoritative systems of record, with clear lineage, ownership, and provenance. Define, monitor, and drive remediation of data quality standards, controls, and issue management processes. Oversee data access and entitlement models to ensure appropriate and secure data usage. Partner with Data Product Managers, Data Engineers, Architects, and business stakeholders throughout the data lifecycle. Drive metadata management, data cataloging, and data discoverability across enterprise platforms. Identify data risks, dependencies, and control gaps, implementing scalable governance solutions. Lead discussions with Data Use Councils and governance forums to facilitate data usage approvals and policy adherence. Promote data reuse, interoperability, and enterprise-wide data value creation. Build, mentor, and develop high-performing teams while advancing data management capabilities across the organization, r epresent the business in firmwide data governance initiatives and cross-functional leadership forums. Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills 8+ years of experience within financial services, data management, governance, or related disciplines. Extensive experience leading data governance, data management, or data ownership functions within a large-scale organization. Deep understanding of data governance frameworks, operating models, metadata management, and data quality disciplines. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive enterprise-wide governance initiatives. Experience establishing controls, standards, and accountability frameworks across multiple data domains. Strong knowledge of data product, data mesh, interoperability, and modern data management principles. Demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate data-related risks while balancing business value and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Experience leading and developing teams within complex, matrixed environments. Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills Advanced degree in a STEM, business, or related field. Industry-recognized data governance, data management, or risk certifications. Experience supporting AI, advanced analytics, and enterprise data product initiatives.
