A collaborative, cross-functional working group within SAP focuses on defining, developing, and promoting best practices for the adoption and implementation of SAP Sovereign Cloud solutions.   YOUR FUTURE ROLE We are looking for a Senior Quality Automation Assurance Engineer in the newly formed  Sovereign Cloud Delivery Architecture   Quality Assurance  team of the  Sovereign Cloud Delivery & Operations  business unit within the  Customer Services and Delivery  board area. In this role, we test and operate the internal SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by the regional Operations teams.   What you'll build

Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated API and GUI test suites for SAP Sovereign Cloud environments used as reference by regional Operations teams. Help deliver SAP Multi-Tenant applications to SAP Sovereign Cloud customers by ensuring product quality through automated functional, regression, and integration testing. Work closely with technical product managers, engineers, our security team, as well as SAP product team members and Operations teams. Solve the intricate Sovereign Cloud challenges of scale and security, while using your functional expertise skills in the applications’ environment setup, functional expertise, and testing background (manual/automated). Own and continuously improve automated quality validation processes within CI/CD pipelines for releases and patches deployed to pre-production cloud landscapes. Analyse automated test results, identify defects, support root cause analysis, and validate fixes through automated regression testing.

What you bring

Strong hands-on experience developing automated API and GUI tests using modern frameworks such as Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or WebdriverIO. Experience designing and maintaining scalable automation frameworks using Page Object Model (POM), Page Factory, or similar design patterns Proven experience managing test assets, requirements traceability, and execution reporting using Test Management Systems such as Xray, Zephyr, or HP Quality Center. Strong experience in API testing, including REST services, request/response validation, authentication mechanisms, and automated API test development. Experience integrating automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI. Experience implementing quality gates and automated validation in deployment pipelines. 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience with a strong focus on test automation for API and GUI applications. Limited manual testing may be required for exploratory validation and new feature assessment. Fluency in written and spoken English.

ISTQB Foundations certification and understanding of the Software Testing lifecycle. Product knowledge of SAP BTP solutions.
