About this role

Equity Derivatives Trade Support Specialist About Millennium Millennium is a global, diversified alternative investment firm, founded in 1989. Defined by evolution, innovation and focus, Millennium’s mission is to deliver results for our investors. Our people are empowered with both independence and support: the autonomy to pursue ideas with conviction and the backing of a global network committed to collaboration, disciplined risk management and continuous learning. With opportunities to deepen expertise and accelerate development, talent at Millennium is equipped to adapt, evolve and build lasting impact over time. Discover how transformative growth accelerates impact. Meet the Team The Trade Support team supports the accurate and timely capture of trades across Millennium’s global platform, working closely with internal stakeholders and external counterparties in a dynamic, follow-the-sun operating environment. This Trade Support Specialist role will focus on volatility derivatives, so prior experience with these is highly advantageous. What You'll Do • Work with Portfolio Managers and other internal teams to automate and streamline existing processes to reduce operational risk and increase the speed and efficiency of the trade capture process. • Broader T0 tasks: ensure that the Middle Office provides a timely and high standard of service to stakeholders, supporting the business with ever-changing initiatives and demands. • Trade queue: monitor and clear trade exceptions generated by new executions in a timely manner. • Middle Office inboxes: monitor and resolve queries from Portfolio Management teams and counterparties promptly. • Electronic affirmation: work with both onshore and offshore teams and with counterparties to match and resolve economic breaks across a range of asset classes. • Non-electronic affirmation: ensure that the risk on all trades or products that do not go through an electronic platform has been appropriately addressed and mitigated. • T+1 support: provide support on T+1 to remediate any issues from the previous day in a timely manner, ensuring impacted parties are informed. • Escalation: escalate to line management, Operational Risk, and the wider management team any failures in the process or potential issues that could create an erroneous P&L event for the firm. What You Bring • Previous experience with traded products, including equity derivatives and other complex volatility products. • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize multiple deliverables. • Strong market understanding and familiarity with industry and regulatory change. • Ability to balance autonomous work with effective collaboration as part of a team, while managing project delivery alongside business-as-usual requirements. • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage daily with senior stakeholders across the firm. • Familiarity with industry-standard systems, including MarkitWire, Markit Trade Manager, and Bloomberg.
