About the Role
We’re looking for a highly skilled Senior Metering Technician to join our offshore team, ensuring the accuracy, reliability and compliance of our fiscal, allocation and environmental metering systems. You’ll play a key role in maintaining system integrity through preventative and corrective maintenance, supporting operations, and driving continuous improvement across our metering assets. This is a hands‑on, technically demanding role suited to someone who thrives in a dynamic offshore environment and takes pride in delivering work to the highest standards of safety, quality and compliance. What You’ll Be Doing Ensuring metering system uncertainty remains within required limits through routine maintenance and troubleshooting Maintaining primary and secondary metering equipment, quality analysers and associated systems in line with procedures and standards Performing daily metering checks, trend analysis and system health monitoring Leading safe start‑up and shutdown of measurement systems and analysers Managing 3rd‑party metering software (MMS) and ensuring issues are resolved promptly Executing work plans, raising PTW documentation and completing detailed work histories Conducting fault‑finding, proposing solutions and identifying improvement opportunities Supporting isolations and reinstatement activities, including calculations, data validation and reporting Managing field and test equipment, ensuring certification and calibration compliance Leading or supporting audits (internal, external, FAT/SAT) and representing the client when required Coaching and mentoring metering personnel and platform teams Maintaining excellent housekeeping and promoting a strong safety culture What You’ll Bring HNC in an engineering discipline (essential) SVQ Level 3 in Measurement Processes (essential) Engineering apprenticeship (preferred) Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar metering role within the energy sector Advanced knowledge of metering and measurement systems Strong working knowledge of IP, API, AGA, BS and ISO standards Understanding of OGA guidelines and relevant commercial agreements Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships Proven ability to lead audits, solve complex technical problems and work independently offshore QHSE Commitment You will be expected to: Demonstrate strong personal commitment to Quality, Health, Safety & Environment Work within company and client safety management systems Use PTW systems effectively and complete risk assessments Ensure correct PPE, equipment certification and safe working practices Promote safety awareness and contribute to a positive safety culture Why Join Us?
