Key job responsibilities As a Senior Manager on Route 53 Resolver, you will own the vision, the roadmap, the architecture direction, and the operational health of a tier-0 service portfolio, through a team of software development managers and senior engineers. You will decide where the organization invests: new customer-facing capability, the scaling and availability work that keeps the service ahead of customer demand, and the efficiency work that reduces what it costs to run DNS at this scale. This is a builder's leadership role. You will be expected to hold the extremely high technical bar personally — reading designs, challenging capacity models, and being able to reason about change propagation latency, cache behavior, and blast radius — while also doing the harder organizational work: setting vision, growing managers, resolving cross-organization dependencies, and making the key decisions each year that determine whether the roadmap lands.
