Job Title Bid / Proposal Manager Job Description Summary Job Description Bid/Proposal Manager Global Occupier Services Hybrid: Birmingham or London Cushman & Wakefield (NYSE: CWK) is a leading global commercial real estate services firm for property owners and occupiers with approximately 53,000 employees in nearly 400 offices and 60 countries. As a central part of the EMEA business development team within Global Occupier Services (GOS), the Proposal Manager works with platform teams, operational subject matter experts and the Central Bid Team to manage capability documents and formal bid proposals. This role supports regional or global Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) and Integrated Portfolio Management (IPM) pursuits. The Proposal Manager serves as the key liaison coordinating internal work streams to finalise proposal responses and presentations.
Core Responsibilities
Manage the end-to-end IFM proposal and presentation development process, ensuring that all stakeholders understand requirements, responsibilities and deadlines. Participate in IFM bid meetings to understand client objectives, operational requirements and win strategy Develop strategic messaging, win themes and creative design approaches that clearly articulate the IFM solution and client value proposition Work closely with Central Bids, IFM operations, solutioning, transition, commercial and subject matter experts as contributors and/or reviewers Develop tailored IFM proposals that clearly describe the operating model, service delivery approach, mobilisation plan, governance structure and value of the solution; liaise with subject matter experts and Central Bids as required to contribute to and review the response Identify all graphic design needs and engage Central Bids to source appropriate design resources Manage production and on-time electronic and/or hardcopy delivery to clients Write, edit, format, and proof all proposal and presentation deliverables. Responsible for conducting red team reviews (RTR) with team members to ensure high-quality work products. Manage the preparation of other IFM pursuit deliverables, including presentations, clarifications, follow-up requests and best-and-final-offer materials. Organise and attend IFM pursuit preparation sessions in line with best practice, including kick-off, storyboarding, solution reviews, red team reviews and presentation rehearsals. Support Head of Bid Management and other Senior Proposal Managers on strategic bids. Support new content development efforts and strategic firm initiatives as needed. Champion efforts to ensure all deliverables are aligned with the firm’s brand. Perform pursuit close-out activities; work with Knowledge Management to ensure revised and new content is uploaded to the Global content library. Develop strong working relationships with IFM & IPM subject matter experts, operations leads, transition teams, commercial teams, service line leads and senior GOS leadership Perform other related duties as required or requested.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field preferred APMP qualification a plus Knowledge & Experience: Demonstrates at least 3-5 years’ experience in a bid management environment Experience in an IFM environment is essential Demonstrated ability to assimilate, coordinate and respond to regional and global IFM RFIs, RFPs and presentation requirements Experience in Real Estate preferred Skills & Personal Qualities: Excellent English Language skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail-oriented; strong organizational skills and effective time management Ability to repurpose existing content or create new written material as needed. Ability to interface with people at all levels of the organisation including senior executives and cross-functional and regional teams Ability to work well and thrive under pressure within sometimes rapidly changing work requirements Ability to maintain
