We believe people should love what they do – in this role, you will be responsible for:

+ Performing mechanical properties testing

+ Evaluation of in\-house heat\-treated parts

+ Assisting with failure analysis projects

+ Checking incoming parts for metallurgical conformance

+ Evaluating microstructures of steel, aluminum, and other materials

+ Assisting in monitoring of plating and cleaning solutions \(wet chemistry\)

+ Documenting test and evaluation results

+ Communicating with engineers, mentor, and internal customers in regard to materials investigations

**_Qualifications_**

+ Student should be engaged in the pursuit of a B\.S\. in an accredited Materials Science/Engineering or Metallurgy program

+ Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

+ Familiarity with metallurgical lab procedures
