The BCN comprises of Consulting Services, Knowledge Services and Shared Services. Who you will work with BCN Labs is a Center of Excellence (CoE) functioning akin to a small R&D boutique startup within the Bain ecosystem, delivering end-to end data-driven client deployable solutions across a wide variety of sectors and industries. BCN Labs work directly with other CoEs and Practices within Bain as part of the Expert Client Delivery system and interface with global teams across. BCN Labs is first and foremost business thought partner working on intelligent ways of using analytical techniques and algorithms across the spectrum of disciplines that can enable building world-class solutions. Our goal is to build a disruptive high-impact business-enabled end-to-end analytical solutions delivery system across all verticals of Bain.
About you
Hands-on experience building modern web applications using React (preferred), Angular, or Vue.js, with a strong understanding of component-based architecture, state management, and responsive design. Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript. Experience designing and building scalable, secure, and maintainable software systems and frontend architectures. Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs using technologies such as Node.js, FastAPI, Django, or similar backend frameworks. Strong proficiency with Git for code versioning and collaborating Experience deploying full stack applications on cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Azure, with an understanding of cloud-native application development. Experience leading technical delivery in Agile environments, including sprint planning, effort estimation, dependency management, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration. What you’ll do End-to-End Project Ownership: Own the complete delivery lifecycle - from requirements discovery and solution design through development, cloud deployment, monitoring, and production support. Hands-on Development: Serve as a primary contributor to the codebase by designing, developing, debugging, testing, and reviewing production-grade software on a daily basis. Lead by example in engineering excellence while delivering scalable, secure, and high-quality solutions. Product Development: Design, develop, and deliver modern web, AI-enabled, and data-centric applications, microservices, and APIs that are scalable, secure, and production-ready. Technical Planning: Partner with the Engineering Manager to translate business requirements into technical workstreams, estimate engineering effort, prioritize engineering tasks, and develop delivery plans that enable predictable, high-quality execution. Engineering Excellence : Champion modern engineering practices by driving high standards for software quality, architecture, testing, security, observability, maintainability, and developer productivity, while continuously improving engineering processes.
