Job Description

The Clear to Close Analyst I is responsible for reviewing and validating real estate title documentation to ensure U.S. Bank's collateral position is properly documented and protected. This role partners closely with analysts, title vendors, and specialized internal departments to resolve title issues, confirm ownership and lien positions, ensure Bank policy compliance, and support the timely closing of Wealth Management lending transactions. The ideal candidate possesses strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, understanding of applicable Bank policies and experience working with real estate documentation, title reports, underwriting support, loan processing, or related lending operations.

Key Responsibilities

Review and analyze residential property title reports to verify ownership, vesting, and lien information. Coordinate with underwriters and lending partners to ensure proper understanding and documentation of lien position requirements. Research and assist with obtaining documentation required to clear title issues, including lien releases, ownership documentation, and supporting real estate records to ensure clean title at closing. Partner with specialized internal real estate support teams on matters involving condominiums, manufactured housing, and other collateral-specific requirements. Maintain accurate records and documentation throughout the Clear to Close process Ensure adherence to internal policies, regulatory requirements, and quality standards. Support efficient transaction processing while maintaining a high level of accuracy and risk awareness.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience. Typically three or more years of related experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience reviewing title reports, real estate documentation, loan documentation, or underwriting-related materials. Knowledge of property ownership, title insurance, vesting, and lien position concepts. Experience supporting mortgage, home equity, wealth management, commercial lending, or other real estate lending activities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience working with internal and external business partners and third-party vendors. Knowledge of Wealth Management lending products and processes preferred.
