SUMMARY As part of the Master Data Governance Center of Excellence, the Manager – Global Master Data Quality will lead the global optimization and enhancement of our master data to support the operational business process and internal/external reporting requirements. This role will lead and as required, upskill the team of dedicated individuals, who are collectively responsible to maintain high-quality master data. In this role you will collaborate with various teams (e.g. Customer Service, Finance, IT, Operations, Sales Ops), to understand and meet their data requirements while ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You will also actively look for opportunities to improve team performance, process efficiency, data quality, data governance and report on the relevant KPIs. The Manager – Global Master Data Quality will lead and train an offshore team to create nightly checks to enforce data standards and data lifecycle requirements. As data quality issues are identified by other members of the Center of Excellence, you will build automated strategies to identify, monitor, and resolve data quality issues across the data ecosystem (S4, ECC, JDE, SFDC, HSE, Workday) in a Data Stewardship Council model. You will be viewed as the “go to” for the organization on data quality best practices. This role requires a high level of technical expertise, great attention to detail, and strong communication skills to work together with all global business stakeholders.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following: Hire & lead onshore/offshore team that is Business Facing. Ability to hire and retain team members (onshore & offshore) Create a Data Quality Playbook to standardize the roles & responsibilities of data stakeholders for executing source system remediation to drive data quality improvements. Collaborate with Business Leads, IT, and IS to ensure effective data management throughout the organization. Create operational dashboards for Executive Business Leaders. Build cleansing, standardization, enrichment and validation approaches for both functional and domain-specific data quality dimensions on master data. Monitor data quality metrics and perform root cause analysis of data quality issues that lead to data downtime and take appropriate steps to address these issues with stakeholders. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS Minimum B.S., M.S., in Computer Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Computer Information, Data Science, or related area Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing teams 8+ years of related and progressive experience in Data Quality Management, Business Intelligence (BI), Data Analytics, Data Migration, and related fields. Experience creating and modifying business rules in SAP Information Steward & BODS. Experience in managing master data domains (Customer, Vendor, Supplier, Finance, etc.) and their integration in enterprise systems (i.e. SAP, SFDC, JDE, Snowflake, Oracle, etc). Skilled at oral and written communication skills including the ability to effectively present technical topics to individuals and groups with potentially varied levels of technical sophistication. Proficiency programming and leveraging data quality tools (i.e. SAP Information Steward, Migration Cockpit, BODS, USPS, Dunn and Bradstreet) to support enterprise initiatives. Proficiency data profiling, data mapping, and with data integration to establish data quality checks and resolving data quality issues (i.e. inconsistencies, inaccuracies, incompleteness in data products, etc). Strong analytical skills to identify patterns, trends in data, complete root-cause analysis to resolve data quality issues. Proficiency in programming languages (i.e. SQL,
