There's a seat at our table for you... 2nd Shift Standup Forklift Operator Distribution Center Address: 342 Gordon Industrial Ave, Shepherdsville KY Pay: Starting at $21.13/hour (includes a $1.00 2nd shift premium) Plus, earn two pay raises in your first year Earn more per hour for speed and efficiency Work Schedule: Monday - Friday work week, with Saturdays and Sundays off 2nd Shift 1:45pm-10:00pm (shifts vary based on work volume) Total Rewards at GFS Affordable benefits plans start day one! Essential Functions: Uses forklift and pallet inverter machine to transfer product from bad wood to good wood. Removes slip-sheets from all pallets. Uses forklift to insert pallet into the pallet conveyor system. Uses forklift to sort all empty pallets from the system and place the pallets in designated areas. Uses forklifts to help empty the system reject spurs. Removes damaged products from the pallets during the tipping process. May be required to ensures finished pallets are ready to be placed onto the conveyor; no loose wrap, product is on good wood, pallets are wrapped, and pallet tags can be read by scanners. Completes housekeeping activities on a daily basis. Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Essential Skills : Must be able to communicate clearly in a professional manner. Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Must be able to work independently or within a team environment. Must adhere to all safety regulations and procedures. Employees in all warehouse positions must be able to immediately perceive auditory warning signals such as bells, alarms, and horns that are used to warn employees of the start-up, movement, or approach of equipment (including forklifts, turrets, overhead cranes, conveyors, trucks, and other equipment operated inside or outside the warehouse), mechanical abnormalities, and similar risk situations during warehouse operations.
