Job Description
Shift: Afternoon (3:00 PM to 11:00 PM) or Night (11:00 PM to 7:00 AM) Pay Rate: $18.50 Shift Premium Amount: $2.00 Position Overview The primary function of the Inspector/Packer is inspecting and packing bags to maintain safety, quality, and productivity standards. Essential Functions & Responsibilities • Responsible for scrap, efficiency, and product quality on product line. • Responsible for inspecting and packing quality bags into box/tote per bag specifications. • Ensure that box/tote counts are accurate as per the bag specification. • Ensure that quality standards are upheld and that any suspect or defective product is reported for review and decision. • Work as a team with others assigned to machine, including helping operators as needed. • Practice 5S, Good House Keeping, and Machine Sanitation per company standards. • Learn to pack all bag specifications and at all machines in production facility. • Complete all documentation completely and accurately. • Assist in the training of other Inspector/Packer personnel. • Other responsibilities and projects as assigned. Education: High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience: No previous experience required, on the job training provided. Specific Skills: Attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment Equipment & Machinery: Pallet jack.
